About this policy

Motion Player Video Player (package app.motionplayer.video) is provided by Intermed. This policy explains how the Android app and motionplayerapp.com handle information. Privacy enquiries: motionplayerapp@gmail.com.

02

Your videos stay on your device

Motion Player reads the videos, metadata and thumbnails you allow it to access so it can show your local library and folders. The app does not upload your video files to Intermed. Videos explicitly opened through another Android app can also be played.

03

History, playlists and settings

Playback positions, recent local videos, preferences, folder selections, favourites, playlists and playback counts are saved in private app storage. Online media URLs are not retained in playback history. Private mode clears playback history and counts and stops further activity recording; favourites and playlists you explicitly saved remain until you remove them or clear app data.

04

Subtitles, screenshots and file operations

Subtitle files you choose may be copied into a size-limited private cache. The active subtitle copy is removed when playback closes; Android may retain cache after an interrupted process. Screenshots and file operations occur when you request them. Sharing passes only your selected files to your chosen Android application. Copying, moving, renaming and deleting can change files on your device, subject to Android permissions and confirmations.

05

Online playback

When you choose an HTTPS media URL, the app connects directly to the selected server. That server receives your IP address and media request and applies its own privacy practices. Intermed does not operate a media proxy for this playback.

06

Permissions and background playback

Optional media-library and selected-video permissions support local browsing. Older Android versions may request storage permissions for supported file operations. Internet permission supports HTTPS playback; audio settings support volume controls. Foreground-service and wake-lock permissions support playback you enable in the background, including an Android media notification. Permission availability depends on your Android version.

07

Collection, advertising and third-party components

The current app has no developer-operated data-collection backend, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or account sign-in. AndroidX and Media3 provide interface and playback components. Other applications and content providers you select apply their own privacy policies. Android backup rules exclude app data from cloud backup and device transfer.

08

This website and support messages

This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics by default. The web server may keep standard access and security logs including IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and timestamps to serve and secure the site. Administrative sign-in uses an essential session cookie. If you email support, your email provider and ours process your message; Intermed uses your address and the information you send to respond. Please do not send passwords or identity documents.

09

Retention, deletion and your choices

Local playback data remains until you clear history, delete the relevant entries, clear app storage or uninstall the app. You can revoke media permissions in Android settings. Files you save outside app storage remain until you remove them. Support correspondence is kept only as needed to address enquiries and related obligations; contact us to request deletion. Server-log retention is controlled by the hosting configuration, which should keep logs only for operational and security needs. No account registration is required for the app.

10

Security and changes

The app uses Android permissions and private app storage for its settings. Network playback is limited to HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. We update this policy when data handling changes and show the updated date on this page. Contact motionplayerapp@gmail.com for questions or requests.
